Privacy Policy

Last updated 29 May 2026

This policy explains what information Kanteen collects when you use our vendor dashboard and storefronts, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to food vendors who sign up for Kanteen and to customers who order from a vendor's storefront.

Information we collect

Vendor account details you provide when you sign up — your business name, email address, country, and currency.

Menu and order data you create in the app — items, prices, categories, opening hours, and the orders placed through your storefront, including a customer's name, phone number, and any note they leave.

Basic technical information your browser sends automatically, such as your IP address and device type, used to keep the service secure and reliable.

How we use it

To run the service: showing your storefront, recording orders, and giving you your dashboard and insights.

To keep accounts secure, prevent abuse, and diagnose problems.

To contact you about your account or important changes to the service. We don't sell your data.

Sharing

We share data only with the service providers that help us operate Kanteen (for example, hosting and image storage), under agreements that limit how they may use it.

Order details are shared between a customer and the vendor they ordered from, so the vendor can prepare and hand over the order.

We may disclose information if required by law.

Retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time.

Your rights

You can access, correct, or delete your information. Email us and we'll help. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local data-protection law.
